Stay Easy Pietermaritzburg, opened in 2010 and is located off the N3 highway, on the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg, adjacent to the Liberty Midland Mall.

The property features 127 bedrooms, offering twin and double bed arrangements, all with en-suite bathrooms. The product is a limited services offering, with a breakfast room, a small meeting room, and leverages off the adjacent mall for entertainment and food and beverage offerings.

The design has employed a large triple volume space, with the reception and breakfast room on the ground floor, allowing filtered light to fill the internal volume of the building. The bedrooms are positioned to the edge of this central space over three levels.

In keeping with the type of product, the external façade is simple and understated, yet has successfully used colour, form and materials to break up the building mass. It is important to note that the hotel adds an important link to the relationship and use of the precinct as a mixed-use development.
